Hi there, I'm Patrick, a Washington, D.C. based pro photographer.
I specialize in wedding, engagement, event, and headshot photography in the DMV, NYC, PA, and beyond!
How did I get started?
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories was traveling with my family to Quebec during the '90s and snapping photos of the Thousand Islands from the Thousand Islands Tower on a disposable camera. It seemed so novel and fun, snapping photos of the world around me to enjoy those memories at some later time.
Then later as camera phones became ubiquitous, I would pester friends by taking candids. It was the closest thing I could get to an actual camera. To quote Chase Jarvis, "... the best camera is the one that's with you."
In 8th grade, while in shop class, I first learned the ins-and-outs of film photography and film development, which I'm relearning currently. At this time, my Mom gave me her Ricoh from the '70s that she took with her to Europe. I still have it and play with it from time to time, light leak and all.
In college and grad school in NYC, I started photographing events and engagement celebrations for friends. Once all of my friends started getting married, I would take my Nikon D7000 and nifty fifty to their weddings to provide my own touch to their wedding memories.
My photographic journey has expanded from a side hustle to main hustle - from photographing weddings throughout the US and abroad.
After over a decade of Big4 corporate consulting, focusing on complex security and derivative valuations - want to learn more about that, just ask! - I'm pursing my passion for photography!
And how about now?
From New York City to Napa Valley, and from South Florida to the DMV, no locations and destinations are too far for me to capture your momentous day.
My other photographic passions include travel, landscape, drone, and dance photography.
Pretty much I bring my Nikon Zf & at least my Nikkor Z 24-120 with me everywhere. If there is a moment, vista, or experience to be captured on camera, I got this!
